Is it really free?
Yes, the U-Tune (micro-lite) tuning calculator is totally free of charge. Take as many copies as you want!
Although we normally use the full version of U-Tune, we do find the calculator handy for quick checks when monitoring the performance of process controllers.
Although free of charge, the product remains protected by copyright and may not be altered, re-labelled or re-packaged in any way.
How do I use the calculator?
The User Guide is included with the application, although you can also download a copy from the Information page. This manual gives examples of the measurements needed for calculating the tuning parameters.
Does it use the same tuning algorithms as U-Tune?
Yes, U-Tune (micro-lite) uses the exact same method as the full version. However, it is limited to two-term (PI) controllers, which is anyway the best solution for most process controllers.
What are the system requirements?
U-Tune (micro-lite) will run on any 32-bit Microsoft Windows operating system e.g. Windows XP, Windows NT or Windows 2000.
